To kick off the release of famed Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky new book Seth's Broadway Diary, Dress Circle Publishing (Brisa Trinchero and Roberta Pereira, founders) hosted a special book launch concert event last night at Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St). Broadway stars Kelli O'Hara, Judy Kuhn, Anika Larsen, Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Chip Zien and Marc Shaiman who are featured in the book performed excerpts and some of Seth's favorite songs. Instead of merely parking himself in front of a mic, the seasoned pro of film, television and the Broadway stage chose to actually disappear into each song's character with purposeful yet effortless ease. The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets are on sale for Broadway & Beyond at the Walt Disney Theater, a one-night-only variety show featuring luminaries from the Great White Way and beyond, including international music and dance performers. The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is seeking an Orlando-based singer between the ages of 9-14 to perform in Broadway & Beyond at the Walt Disney Theater on November 15. The selected singer will make her debut in a solo number with an all-star, professional Broadway cast for the Grand Premiere of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Presented by Dr. Phillips Charities and Balfour Beatty Construction. The show is under the direction of renowned Broadway producer Richard Jay-Alexander and musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Jay-Alexander will host the auditions with leaders from the Dr. Phillips Center.

David Yazbek has shown himself to be a Broadway composer-lyricist to be reckoned with, after a splashy debut with 2000's "The Full Monty," and a meaningful follow-up with 2005's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." Both film adaptations, they won Drama Desk Awards for him, as well as Tony nominations. 2010's "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown", also a film adaptation, was Tony-nominated for its score as well, though it suffered a truncated run of only 69 performances. Theatre at the Center in the Chicago suburb of Munster, Indiana, is the location for the show's world regional premiere.
