Ward, Ebert, Margherita, Aldridge & More Join MATILDA on Broadway - Full Cast Announced!

The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the principal roles and the ensemble in the eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical MATILDA THE MUSICAL. They are (alphabetically): Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Gabriel Ebert (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), and Lauren Ward (Miss Honey).

piece by piece productions, Rising Phoenix Repertory, and The Barrow Group have announced that All the Rage, written and performed by Martin Moran, and directed by Seth Barrish, will begin performances on Saturday, January 19, at 7pm at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42 Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. The opening night has been set for Wednesday, January 30, at 7pm.

Jose Rivera, the Obie Award-winning playwright and Academy Award nominee (The Motorcycle Diaries) will move from the page to the stage when he joins the cast of his play Massacre (Sing to Your Children), having its world premiere at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets), it was announced today.

Jose Rivera, the Obie Award-winning playwright and Academy Award nominee (The Motorcycle Diaries) will move from the page to the stage when he joins the cast of his play Massacre (Sing to Your Children), having its world premiere at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets), it was announced today. Mr. Rivera will play Erik, the character created by original cast member Adrian Martinez, who is leaving the production due to an imminent film commitment.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Massacre (Sing to Your Children), by Obie Award-winning playwright Jose Rivera, directed by Brian Mertes. Performances will begin Wednesday, April 4th at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry & West 11th Streets). The official opening night is set for Thursday, April 12th. The production is scheduled to run through May 12th.

As a second successful touring season begins, New Stages will reach out to schools, organizations and creative venues across the state. New this year: Two companies will tour, creating more opportunities for performances and dialogue within our communities. This new adaptation by Stephanie Fleischmann and Dmitry Troyanovsky and directed by Dmitry Troyanovsky, embarks on a one month-plus tour on October 4th; special Opening Night public performances in the Cook Theatre will be on October 6th at 6 pm & 8:30 pm.

Bryn Mawr College's Performing Arts Series moves into high gear for the 2011-2012 season as it presents five music, dance, and theatre performances that have never been seen or heard in the region. The season begins with a celebrated Celtic singer, the Philadelphia area premiere of a highly touted one-man New York theatre sensation, and a renowned classical quartet.
