Michael Laurence's HAMLET IN BED Pushes Back Opening at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that HAMLET IN BED, written by Michael Laurence and directed by Lisa Peterson, will now open Thursday, September 17, a week later than the previously announced date of September 10. The change was made to accommodate for the holiday weekend.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that Hamlet In Bed, written by Michael Laurence and directed by Lisa Peterson, will begin previews Friday, August 28, at 8pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place.  Joining Mr. Laurence in the cast is Annette O'Toole.  The official opening night is set for Thursday, September 10; the production will run through Sunday, October 25.

Rattlestick's 2015-16 Season to Include New York, World Premieres

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long announce the company's 2015-16 season, its 21st, which includes New York and world premieres by Michael Laurence, William Francis Hoffman, and Martyna Majok. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater artistic director David Van Asselt and managing director Brian Long have announced that Vanessa Redgrave will perform a one-night-only reading of a dramatic adaptation of the novel Last Train to Paris by Michele Zackheim on Monday, March 30 at 7pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that following strong reviews Pitbulls, written by Keith Josef Adkins and directed by Leah Gardiner, will extend one week through Saturday, December 20, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. (Pitbulls had originally been scheduled to close on December 13.)

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that JUÁREZ: A Documentary Mythology, conceived and created by Theater Mitu and directed by Ruben Polendo, will begin previews Thursday, September 4, 2014. The official opening night is set for Wednesday, September 10, 2014 and closing night is Sunday, October 5, 2014. JUÁREZ: A Documentary Mythology is a co-production with Theater Mitu.
