Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its season and concludes its multi-year history cycle with Henry VI: The Wars of the Roses, Part 2 and Richard III, by William Shakespeare.  This production is directed by CSC Producing Artistic Director, Brian Isaac Phillips.  This production features Cincinnati Shakespeare's Resident Ensemble members including Darnell Pierre Benjamin at King Henry VI, Kelly Mengelkoch as Queen Margaret, and Billy Chace as King Richard III.  The History Cycle sponsor is Osborn, Rohs, Williams & Donohoe, LLC.

Joseph is rescued by Frederick Treves, a young doctor who discovers that behind the disfigured visage, lies not an animal, but an intelligent mind and a sensitive soul.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company announced today during their first concrete pour event located at the future site of their new theater, that they had been selected along with the City of Cincinnati to host the 2018 Shakespeare Theatre Association Conference. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) is kicking off construction with a "First Pour" event on May 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. This will be an opportunity for key supporters to actively participate in one of the first pours of concrete that will form the foundation for the new theater.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company concludes its 2015-2016 season with a two-part theatrical event, pairing Shakespeare's Roman plays 'Julius Caesar' (April 8- May 7) and 'Antony and Cleopatra' (May 13- June 4) back to back. Artistic Associate Sara Clark directs 'Julius Caesar' and Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips directs 'Antony and Cleopatra'. These productions feature Cincinnati Shakespeare's Resident Ensemble members including Jim Hopkins as Julius Caesar, Nick Rose as Marc Antony, and introducing Chantal Jean-Pierre as Cleopatra. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is pleased to continue their groundbreaking arts education initiative titled PROJECT38 and their signature event Revel and Moonlight. CSC teaching artists have spent over 250 hours this school year working with over 1,600 students at more than 45 different schools to bring each of Shakespeare's 38 plays to life in creative ways. From April 14-18, 2016 all of the Cincinnati community will get to experience these amazing performances at a week-long free festival in downtown Cincinnati! Starting on April 14, there will be over 43 events and nearly 40 hours of free arts events in Washington Park and The Woodward Theater that the entire community is invited too! Last year, the PROJECT38 Festival drew over 3,000 people. April 9 will be the signature event to support PROJECT38 called Revel and Moonlight. This event will take place at The Transept and tickets start at only $25!

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) announced today a $17 million capital campaign titled 'Making History Unexpected' to construct a new theatre at 12th and Elm Streets, in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. The new facility will incorporate space for modern theatrical technology, increased seating capacity and lobby, expanded education and community outreach opportunities, as well as on-site production areas and administrative offices. The theatre will also become the 'finale' of a planned 'Classical Arts Corridor' connecting Music Hall, Memorial Hall, the School for Creative and Performing Arts, and Washington Park.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company officially opens their 2015-2016 mainstage season with the epic, dazzling, romantic comedy "Cyrano de Bergerac" based on the translation written by Anthony Burgess of the play written by Edmond Rostand playing September 11- October 3, 2015.  This production is directed by CSC Producing Artistic Director, Brian Isaac Phillips and features Cincinnati Shakespeare Resident Ensemble members Jeremy Dubin and Caitlin McWethy. The costume design for "Cyrano de Bergerac" is generously sponsored by 1919 Investment Counsel and Frost Brown Todd.

Fasten your seat belts for Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's 30th anniversary lineup! The 2015-2016 season opens with the regional premiere of Luna Gale, an intense and heartbreakingly honest drama by award-winning playwright Rebecca Gilman. This forceful and sobering story examines our foster care system and how an innocent baby girl becomes the object of a family's life-altering game of tug-of-war. Luna Gale plays September 8-27, 2015 and is directed by D. Lynn Meyers.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company concludes its season with the premiere of the much anticipated, and now critically acclaimed, production of "One Man, Two Guvnors" by Richard Bean based on "The Servant of Two Masters" by Carlo Goldoni with songs by Grant Olding.  This show has sold out several performances so meet the increasing audience demand CSC has added performances on Saturdays June 20 and 27 at 2pm.
