Reprise Theatre Company is presenting the 'Dream Your Impossible Dream' Contest in conjunction with its upcoming production of 'Man of La Mancha' (February 14-March 1, 2009.) 'Man of La Mancha' is one of the great international hits of the American musical stage. It had a hit single on the charts - 'The Impossible Dream' - one of the most well known songs from any musical. Reprise Theatre Company is now offering the chance for all aspiring singers of this legendary song to turn their dreams into reality.
The 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company season continues
with the classic international hit 'Man of La Mancha,' starring Brent Spiner as Cervantes/Quixote. Julia Migenes, the renowned opera and theatre performer, will play Aldonza/Dulcinea; Valerie Perri will play the role of Aldonza/Dulcinea at matinee performances; and Tony nominee Lee Wilkof will play Sancho Panza.
MAUDE MAGGART, the critically-acclaimed chanteuse - hailed as 'bewitching' by The New York Times, 'utterly enchanting' by the New York Post and 'stunning' by the Los Angeles Times - will return to THE OAK ROOM of THE ALGONQUIN HOTEL for a six week engagement from April 1 - May 10. Her new show, 'Speaking of Dreams,' will feature John Boswell (April 1 - 12) and Lanny Meyers (April 15 - May 10) on piano and Yair Evnine on cello and guitar. The Roundabout Theatre Company's 2006 spring gala will be a starry one, with The Pajama Game stars Kelli O'Hara and Harry Connick Jr. and The Threepenny Opera star Alan Cumming among those set to perform; the event will take place on Monday, April 3rd at Chelsea Piers at 7pm
