It is with great pleasure that The West Bank Café announces upcoming performances to be presented in The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The UNLV Performing Arts Center opens the New York Stage & Beyond Series with The Broadway Tenors - Lewis Cleale, Brian Lane Green, and Las Vegas' favorite Brent Barrett (Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular) - at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 5.

The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) announces casting for three new musicals (Setup and Punch, Once Upon a Pastime and Give a Man a Mask), the next offerings in its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series.

In light of the recent string of suicides among young gay men in our country, The Laurie Beechman Theatre is humbled to present It Gets Better: Broadway Supports The Trevor Project. The 6pm concert will host some of Broadway's leading voices, lending their support to this vital organization that provides suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.

Brent Barrett will revisit his role as Billy Flynn in CHICAGO for a limited engagement extending from October 11 through November 21. He joins a cast that includes other recent returns; Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, original cast member Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly and Roz Ryan as 'Mama' Morton.

Casting has been announced for the North Shore Music Theatre's production of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' being staged from September 21 to October 10, 2010.

Stephanie J. Block, Broadway star of '9 to 5: The Musical,' 'Wicked,' 'The Pirate Queen,' and 'The Boy From Oz,' will star opposite Jason Alexander, Artistic Director of Reprise Theatre Company, in 'They're Playing Our Song,' the opening production of the company's 2010-2011 season, playing September 28 to October 10 (press opening September 29) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Reprise Theatre Company presents two one-night only special events: An Evening with Sutton Foster for one performance only on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 8:00 pm, and Betty Buckley in Concert with Seth Rudetsky on Monday, February 21,2011 at 8:00pm. Both events will be presented at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Martin Short began his career in Canada's "SCTV Comedy Network" for which he received an Emmy Award. Short's proven ability as a comedic chameleon and his host of hilarious impressions brought him to the attention of "Saturday Night Live." From there, he made his big screen debut in "Three Amigos," Other films include "Inner Space", "Three Fugitives", "Clifford", "Mars Attacks", "The Big Picture", Father of the Bride 1 & 2 and "Jiminy Glick in LALAWOOD, among others Short has received 15 Emmy nominations for his work in television which includes "Merlin", "Alice in Wonderland," "The Martin Short Show", "Primetime Glick" and this season's "Damages", for which he was most recently nominated. From the creators of The Full Monty and based on the popular 1988 MGM film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS centers on two con men living on the French Riviera - the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money; and a small-time crook named Freddy Benson, who, more humbly, swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health.

The Turens welcomed Tony Award-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, and the evening's entertainment host Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth.
