Vineyard Theatre will soon stage the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' newest play GLORIA, with previews starting Thursday, May 28, prior to opening Monday, June 15. Evan Cabnet will direct GLORIA, with a cast that includes Jeanine Serralles, Jennifer Kim, Catherine Combs, Kyle Beltran, Michael Crane and Ryan Spahn.   Sundance Institute today announced the nine projects selected from 827 submissions for its 2015 Theatre Lab at Sundance Resort in Utah, July 6-26. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community and is one of 24 residency Labs the Institute hosts each year for independent artists in theatre, film, new media and episodic content.

The Wilma Theater has announced the four plays that will make up its upcoming 2015/16 Season. The Wilma will open the season with Sophocles' Antigone translated by Marinanne McDonald and directed by Theodorus Terzopoulos, the renowned founder of Attis Theatre in Athens, Greece.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has announced its 2015-2016 season, featuring a world premiere as well as new plays receiving their Washington area premieres after garnering accolades from performances in New York, Los Angeles, and London including the Laurents/Hatcher Award, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, and the Obie Award for Best New American Play. Signature Theatre has announced that Quiara Alegria Hudes & Lisa Kron have joined the Residency Five program, which provides five-year residencies for multiple playwrights, guaranteeing three full productions of new work over the course of each playwright's residency. The other artists currently in the Residency Five program are Annie Baker, Martha Clarke, Will Eno, Katori Hall, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Kenneth Lonergan and Regina Taylor.

Helmed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, SPRING AWAKENING), BROOKLYNITE opened on Wednesday, February 25.
