Nominations in 26 competitive categories for THE 66th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS® were announced today by Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Jim Parsons and Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth at the Tony Award Nominations Announcement.

A Streetcar Named Desire starring Blair Underwood as Stanley, Nicole Ari Parker as Blanche, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella and Wood Harris as Mitch opened last night on Broadway for a limited run through to July 22, 2012. Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN opened last night, Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre for a strictly limited 18 week engagement is directed by Drama Desk Award winner Michael Wilson (The Orphans Home Cycle Part I, II and III, Dividing The Estate). Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen take the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont in Top Hat which receives its West End stage premiere at the Aldwych Theatre previewing from 19 April, with press night on 9 May 2012. The show is currently booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 26 January 2013. Tonight (13 March 2012) Top Hat opens at the New Victoria Theatre Woking where it will play until 17 March 2012 before visiting Bristol Hippodrome (21 - 31 March 2012) prior to its West End run.

The Drama League (Executive Director Gabriel Shanks; Gala Chairpersons Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane) has announced the roster of special guest for their 28th Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring Tony® and EmmyAward®-winner Kristin Chenoweth, to be held on February 6, 2012 at the famed Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street). Designed by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey, the Gala supports the educational initiatives of The Drama League Directors Project.

The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene held their annual Cabaret Dinner November 22 at Bohemian National Hall. The gala honored Five-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer and critically acclaimed author and playwright, Stewart F. Lane and holocaust survivor and owner of Martin Greenfield Clothiers, Martin Greenfield.

Bette Midler's production of the Tony Award® winning hit musical PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will perform a medley of dance-floor hits featuring a cast of 23 on the 85th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, aired nationally on NBC on Thursday morning, November 24 in the 9:30am half hour.

Drake Bell and Lindsay Pearse flew in from hollywood to star in a staged reading of the John Denver/Stewart F. Lane new musical, A Moment in Time, at Playwrights Horizons last week. John Denver, a singer, songwriter and humanitarian, has received numerous awards during his life including, two Grammies, an Emmy, and has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
