Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: Ashman & Menken's classic LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS returns to the stage tonight!

 The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series will present four new works during the month of June:  Orville and Wilbur Did It! a play byDavid Zellnik with songs by Mr. Zellnik and Eric Svejcar; Juliet and Juliet, based on a concept by Natalie Tenenbaum and Sean Patterson, with book and lyrics by Mr. Patterson, and music by Ms. Tenenbaum;  Elsie Janis and the Boys with book & lyrics by Carol Crittenden and music by John T. Prestianni; and Grounded for Life with book by Pat Hazell and Bill Habeeb, lyrics by Lawrence Goldberg and Mr. Hazell, and music by Mr. Goldberg at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).  The readings are open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00. 

As yet another sign of the Chicago area's dominance in the world of the American musical theater, I need only point to the fact that it is undoubtedly the only market that has hosted three different productions of the Andrew Lippa musical "Big Fish," at three different tiers of the industry and three different geographical locations.

The Broadway transfer of The Royal Shakespeare Company's Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2 began previews on March 20, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening set for tonight, April 9, 2015. Wolf Hall: Parts 1 & 2, which explores the deceit, betrayal, and intrigue of the court of Henry VIII, is written by Dame Hilary Manteland adapted by Mike Poulton. This special event invites theatergoers to be part of a unique theatrical experience, similar to the Royal Shakespeare Company's award winning production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. Signature Theatre's production of BIG LOVE by Charles Mee, directed by Tina Landau, began on February 5, 2015. The production runs through March 15, 2015, and opened last night, February 23, in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
