What happens when a group of top studio musicians get together in their free time? A unique mixture of sophisticated composition, passionate improvisation, scathing social commentary and biting humor, BANDZILLA play furious funk, sleazy soul, punk jazz and heartfelt ballads.

The Monterey Jazz Festival and MJF Ambassador Diane Mitchella will host a special fundraising event beginning at 6:30pm on November 7 at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California. Music will be provided by the Le Boeuf Brothers, who are alumni of the Monterey Jazz Festival's education programs. On Friday, November 13 at 7:30 pm, the MSM Jazz Orchestra - under the direction of Justin DiCioccio (MM '71) - is featuring jazz singing great and MSM alumna Jane Monheit (BM '99) in Jane's Way, a special concert celebrating the centennial of Frank Sinatra's birth. (The legendary crooner was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on December 12, 1915.)
