BWW Review: Swingin' with Winter Park Playhouse's ALL HANDS ON DECK

1942 - it was the time of the big band, war bonds for the troops, and radio. Winter Park Playhouse's ALL HANDS ON DECK transports the audience back to that time with classic tunes, hilarious jokes, and so much more. Based on Bob Hope's 1942 USO tour during World War II, this roadshow turned radio show for the troops has stopped in Winter Park, Florida for the evening!

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston Presents REMEMBERING THE '40S

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will take audiences on a sentimental trip down memory lane with the revival of Remembering the 40's on October 1-2, 2016, Reagle's original musical revue recalling the 1940's home front.  Featuring a talented cast of singers, dancers and actors, live music and period costumes, Remembering the 40's is a cherished tribute to the war generation.  Sentimental repertoire from the era includes "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "I'll Be Seeing You," "This Is the Army" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". Remembering the 40's is Directed by Robert J. Eagle, Choreographed by Susan M. Chebookjian, with Music Direction by Paul S. BRIGHT STAR Choreographer Josh Rhodes to Helm GUYS AND DOLLS at The Old Globe Next Summer

The Old Globe today announced the first production of its 2017 Summer Season: Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway. Based on the stories and characters by Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, returning to the Globe after the great successes of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, which he directed, and Bright Star, which he choreographed.

Broadway's Andrea McArdle to Play Provincetown's Crown & Anchor Next Week

Producer Rick Murray's Crown & Anchor Broadway Series continues its 2016 season at the Paramount Cabaret in Provincetown, MA when Broadway veteran and Tony nominee Andrea McArdle returns to Provincetown in ANDREA McARDLE IN CONCERT for two performances only, Monday, August 8 and Tuesday, August 9 at 8:00 p.m.

Annette Warren Coming to Catalina Jazz Club, 7/13

Annette Warren, the "secret" singing voice of Ava Gardner and Lucille Ball in such films as the MGM classic "Show Boat," and a nightclub, TV and recording star who career spans the past 70 years, will celebrate her 94th birthday with a special performance of her new one-woman show, "I Ain't Done Yet" at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Wed., July 13 at 8:30 PM.  The show will trace her life with songs and stories from her beginning in Cleveland, through her successes in New York, London and Los Angeles.
