This past Sunday, May 18th, the sold out audience at the first NY revival of William Inge's A LOSS OF ROSES included Inge's nephew, James A. Mahan, as well as Mahan's children and grandchildren. They joined the cast onstage afterwards for a full family & company portrait. On behalf of the family, James Mahan's daughter Sandra wrote the following to the production the next day: 'A heartfelt thank you for having us! We so enjoyed the play and meeting the cast. TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS today announced their 2014 North American tour and the July 29th release of their first new studio album in four years on Reprise Records, Hypnotic Eye. The tour, featuring very special guest Steve Winwood, will begin in San Diego, CA on August 3rd. The tour includes already announced headline performances at San Francisco's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and at the Lockn' Festival in Arrington, VA. On Labor Day weekend, for the first time ever, the band will also perform at Boston's Fenway Park.

The Segal Centre for Performing Arts will present the World Yiddish premiere of Soul Doctor: Journey of a Rock Star Rabbi, the new bio-musical based on the life of the controversial father of popular Jewish music, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. The Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre presents the Yiddish version of the 2013 Broadway bio-musical written by Daniel S. Wise with lyrics by David Schechter from June 8 to June 29, 2014.
