High Fell Productions in association with Neil McPherson for the Finborough Theatre presents THE BLOOD IS STRONG by David Hutchison. Directed by Bruce Guthrie, the show is designed by Gabriella Slade with lighting by Humphrey McDermott and sound by Josh Richardson. Just announced, the cast will feature: Janet Amsden, Margaret-Ann Bain, Martin Buchan, Alistair Findlay, Neil McNulty and Steven Miller in this World Premiere.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Timberlake Wertenbaker's Olivier Award-winning play, Our Country's Good, Out of Joint will present a series of staged readings of Timberlake's work. This will include the acclaimed play Three Birds Alighting on a Field, which will be directed by Max Stafford-Clark, and The Grace of Mary Traverse directed by Blanche McIntyre. Out of Joint will also present the world premiere of Timberlake's new play - Jefferson's Garden.

Participants Announced for Papatango New Writing Festival & Competition 2012

Having read through all 700 entries, Papatango Theatre Company has announced the long list for this year's Papatango New Writing Competition in association with the Finborough Theatre. The standard of this year's entries was extremely high and cutting it down to just 26 was a very hard but rewarding task. This year's selection represents a truly eclectic mix with playwrights from all over the UK as well as successful international entrants from Ireland, the United States and New Zealand. Papatango thanks everybody who entered and congratulates the 26 playwrights that have made the longlist.

Southway Playhouse's Main House presents the premiere of Sebastian Barry's THE ONLY TRUE HISTORY OF LIZZIE FLINN for a four week engagement beginning tonight, June 21. The show is directed by Critic's Circle Award Winner Blanche McIntyre. Performances will run tonight, June 21 - July 27, Monday through Friday at 7:45PM and Saturday matinees at 3:15PM.

Jagged Fence presents? the UK premiere of The Only True History of Lizzie Finn, by Sebastian Barry. Directed by Blanche McIntyre and designed by James Perkins with ?lighting design by Gary Bowman and sound design by George Dennis, the cast features Justin Avoth, Penelope Beaumont, Lucy Black, Karen Cogan,? Oliver Hembrough, Andrew Jarvis, Andrew Macklin and Shereen Martin.

Finborough Theatre Announces ReDiscoveries2012 Season

Following our New Writing at the Finborough Theatre Season which saw eight premieres of new plays, as well as the Finborough winning its seventh Pearson Bursary Award for Dawn King's Foxfinder, our ReDiscoveries2012 Season is devoted to the parallel strand of our artistic policy, rediscovered drama and music theatre with work from the 1890s to the 1980s.
