The Tank, a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, will present {Your Name Here} Queer Theater Company's Summer Shorts as part of The Tank's LGBTQ Pride Festival. Your Name Here (David Macke, Artistic Director) offers a fun evening of four short plays by queer playwrights that range from a chance encounter in a hotel room to finding love within the arms of a puma to finding something remarkably in common with one's own bully. The shows will be performed today, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 at 5 pm at The Tank.

Broadway vets Mitchell Jarvis and Wesley Taylor's critically-acclaimed "IT COULD BE WORSE," was a humble yet cherished web series amongst our community. After winning a slew of online indie awards and raising over 70K on Kickstarter to shoot a second season, the "awesomely addictive" dark comedy was acquired for cable television.The Washington Post said ICBW was "what Smash might have been…had it found a looser and sharper-witted footing."

Victor Legra, Anthony Crouchelli & M.O.V.E for Autism presented 'Putting the Pieces Together: Volume 2' featuring the music of Carner and Gregor, Rosser and Sohne, Maglione and Ruiz, Joey Contreras, Justin Anthony Long, Jonathan Lee & Joanna Burns; David Dabbon, and Will Van Dyke. Daniel joins the cast already featuring Tony Nominated Downtown Performer Justin Vivian Bond, Zachary Booth (Damages, Keep the Lights On), Rob Maitner (Urinetown, NY Fringe Festival; Bistro Award for Fairy Tales at the WPA Theater), Brian Barefoot, Jax Jackson, Grant Chapman & Chris Tyler. The reading will be held at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan) at 8:00 PM, with a cocktail reception starting at 7pm. The next show will be today, December 18 at 9:30 PM. Justin Sayre and The Meeting*, known for a signature blend of outrageous comedy, politics, culture and everything in between, were named one of the Top 10 nightclub shows of 2011 by Time Out New York, received the 2012 Bistro Award for 'Comedy Artistry' and a 2011 MAC Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance.

Today, Cutting Edge Composers is thankful for its talented composers, especially Will Reynolds. His song 'I Knew a Boy' was sung by Spring Awakening's Blake Daniel at their concert at the Canal Room. When asked about his inspiration for writing this song, Will said 'The first lyric is 'We sneak by disaster-free courting catastrophe' which basically sums up my experience as a 20-something. 'I Knew a Boy' was a warning to myself when I realized I had let myself get a little too lost.'
