Writers Theatre concludes its 2015/16 season with Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company was originally produced and directed on Broadway by Harold Prince, and features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo, and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show runs June 15, 2016 - July 31, 2016 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre: 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Broadway St. The opening night performance is Monday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. An industry performance is Monday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. Single tickets are currently on sale for $15 for preview performances, $50 for the Board Preview performance that includes appetizers, open bar and a reception immediately following the production, and $28 for the regular run. Chicago's original anti-Valentine's Day cabaret, Letters/X, opens an all-new production at the Apollo Studio in Lincoln Park on February 6. Now in its eleventh year, Letters/X is based entirely on actual letters, emails, text messages, Facebook posts, and other ephemera submitted by the public. Chicago playwright and musician Anthony Roberts adapts the submissions into a script and writes original songs based on the material. The 2014 score includes seven brand new songs.
