Alvin Ailey Announces 'Ticket To Dance' Free Class Promotion

For more than four decades, the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has graced the New York City Center stage, sharing the transformative power of dance. Returning this season, New Yorkers can experience dance on and off stage by partaking in a special offer, Ticket to Dance. The promotion allows audience members to try their first Ailey Extension class free with an Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance ticket (offer expires after 60 days). Returning Ailey Extension students also receive a free class with the purchase of a 10-class card.

Billy Wilson, author of the new book 'Our Great Country, AMERICA, is Dying', is a pastor who grew up in North Central Arkansas, has been a pastor for approximately forty years and is currently the pastor at Lute Mountain Community Church. This past Monday marked the opening night of the American Dance Machine for the 21st Century (ADM21) as they returned to New York City. Founded and Produced by Artistic Director Nikki Feirt Atkins, ADM21 is dedicated to creating a living and vibrant archive of classic and current notable musical theater choreography. Continuing the legacy of the late Lee Theodore, who established the original American Dance Machine in 1976 until her death in 1987, and believed that "many great choreographic works are lost with the musical they once embellished," the impetus to preserve these dances drove Theodore and continues to drive Ms. Atkins.

Known for her wide range of dramatic and dynamic roles as a soloist at NYCB, including Anita in Jerome Robbins' West Side Story Suite, Pazcoguin will perform in all of the evening shows, in which she will be featured in the Chita Rivera role in Jack Cole's 'Beale Street Blues,' Victoria's solo from Cats, and Jerome Robbins' 'Mr. Monotony.'

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis joined Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in live musical performances highlighting the works of legendary composers, Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie. The Company's remarkable artistry brought these spellbinding sounds to life in Alvin Ailey's renowned work, Three Black Kings and the captivating ballet, The Winter In Lisbon by Billy Wilson.
