Based on the Billy Wilder film, SUNSET BOULEVARD is a story is about Norma Desmond, a relic of the early years of filmmaking. When talkies pushed silent films and their stars out of the limelight, Norma locked herself into her mansion with her memories, an ex-husband and a chimp as her only companions. Twenty years later, when disillusioned screenwriter Joe Gillis stumbles within her reach, Norma sees in him an opportunity to make her 'return' to the big screen.

Pittsburgh CLO will welcome Liz Callaway back to Pittsburgh in 2012 to star as Norma Desmond in Pittsburgh CLO's inaugural production of Sunset Boulevard. Ms. Callaway charmed audiences and critics alike last summer in Pittsburgh CLO's premiere of Love Changes Everything: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The remainder of the cast for this extraordinary production will be announced in the coming months.

Steven Spielberg Wins 2011 David O. Selznick Award

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that producer, director, writer and Principal Partner of DreamWorks Studios Steven Spielberg will receive the 2012 David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Motion Pictures. The award will be presented to Spielberg at the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 21st at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

AFI Honors Morgan Freeman with Lifetime Achievment Award Today

American film's finest have confirmed their participation on the American Film Institute (AFI) Gala Benefit Committee honoring 39th Life Achievement Award recipient, Morgan Freeman. Members of this year's benefit committee are Ben Affleck, Jim Carrey, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Ashley Judd, Helen Mirren, Mike Nichols, Jack Nicholson, Brad Pitt, Sidney Poitier, Robert Redford, Tim Robbins, Steven Spielberg, Hilary Swank, Denzel Washington and Alfre Woodard. AFI will present the 39th AFI Life Achievement Award - America's highest honor for a career in film - to Freeman on June 9th. 'TV Land Presents: The AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Morgan Freeman' will air on TV Land on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
