Artists from their Spring 2014 season sing 'Over the Rainbow' to help the Boston Pops celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. Artists include Jason Alexander, Melissa Etheridge, Billy Porter, The Hot Sardines, Jennifer Holliday, and Leonard Nimoy.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, will present The Last Five Years, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, from tonight, May 7 through June 1, 2014 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre.

It's been almost a decade since the Pittsburgh-born Billy Porter released a solo album, and since then much has changed for the award-winning artist. Perhaps best known for his Tony Award-winning role as 'Lola' in the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, Porter's musical background is based in gospel, soul and R&B. On April 15, 2014, Porter released his debut on Concord Records, Billy's Back on Broadway. In a recent blog entry, titled 'Oh My, How Things Have Changed.' On April 27, 2014 a private reading of the upcoming musical adaptation of BRAVE NEW WORLD took place in an undisclosed Midtown Manhattan venue.

The winners of the following categories will be announced on Monday, May 12th and the annual awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 22nd (4PM) at Sardi's Restaurant.

Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) has been named by the Tony Awards as its first, exclusive higher education partner. Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced that Broadway, film and television star Jeremy Jordan will make his Los Angeles solo concert debut on Monday, May 5 at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. Jordan's special guest will be his wife, Broadway performer Ashley Spencer. There will be two shows only at 7:30pm and 10pm; cocktail and dinner service begin at 6pm for the 7:30 show and at 9pm for the 10pm show.
