Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell's THE TRAVELING KIND Out Today

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell's second duet album -- The Traveling Kind, produced by Joe Henry -- is now streaming exclusively at NPR Music as a First Listen. The record will be released today, May 12, on Nonesuch Records.

Full Cast Confirmed for World Premiere of TEDDY at Southwark Playhouse

Snapdragon Productions and Theatre Bench announce the full cast for the world premiere of Teddy at the Southwark Playhouse.  Will Payne plays 1950s heartthrob Johnny Valentine, lead singer of rock 'n' roll band The Broken Hearts, whose blistering live performance of Dougal Irvine's songs, underscores the show.  The Broken Hearts line-up is completed by Alexander Bean, Alice Offley and Harrison White, who also takes the role of Musical Director. 

African Children's Choir Partners with Sara Hickman for 'Love is a Journey'

The album was recorded at the African Children's Choir Primary School in Entebbe, Uganda. There, Texan singer/songwriter, Sara Hickman, worked with a group of children from the school to write tracks featured on this stunning album, highlighting not only the children's incredible singing talent, but also their ability to write beautiful music.

National Theatre Wales to Open New Season with Five 'Epic' Productions

Five big productions will take centre-stage in National Theatre Wales' fifth season of work, announced this week. The productions reunite the company with some old friends, and introduce some new ones. City Winery Chicago Presents EVISCERART, 9/21

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Kicks Off 55th ANNUAL DOLLAR BANK THREE RIVERS ARTS FESTIVAL Today

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces a distinguished list of music headliners to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The 10-day celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is unlike any other in the nation. The world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and is open to the public. Natalie Merchant Plays Carnegie Hall Today

Multi-platinum selling recording artist Natalie Merchant performs a Carnegie Hall Family Concert today, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Based on Merchant's recent book and music project Leave Your Sleep, the concert features nursery rhymes and lullabies by 19th- and 20th-century poets set to the singer's beautiful melodies, performed by a chamber orchestra and with projected illustrations by renowned artist Barbara McClintock. James Bagwell conducts the performance, which also features musicians from the dynamic chamber music collective Decoda, pianist and accordion player Uri Sharlin, and guitarist Gabriel Gordon. This Family Concert is presented by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute and recommended for children ages 5?10.

The Topp Twins Come to Arts Centre Melbourne's Fairfax Studio, 5/22-24
