Jones and Associate Artistic Director Janet Wong, announced RoseAnne Spradlin as the 2017-18 Randjelovic/Stryker Resident Commissioned Artist (RCA).

Theatre for a New Audience (Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) presents director Arin Arbus's new staging of Thornton Wilder's tragicomic masterpiece The Skin of Our Teethtonight, February 14, through March 19 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center(262 Ashland Place), TFANA's state-of-the-art permanent home in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District.

Performance Space 122 and New York Live Arts present the U.S. premiere of Jack Charles V The Crown by award-winning indigenous Australian actor, musician, and activist Jack Charles, who spent a significant portion of his 72 years homeless, an addict, a thief and a regular throughout the Australian prison system. These performances mark the U.S. debut of 'the grandfather of Indigenous theatre,' (The Guardian). After New York, Jack Charles V The Crown will run March 29-April 8 at Canada Stage in Toronto.

New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of choreographer Andrea Kleine's latest dance project, My Dinner with Andrea: the piece formerly known as Torture Playlist, which takes its cue from the 1981 Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory movie, My Dinner With Andre. Commissioned by New York Live Arts and presented through its Live Feed creative residency program, the performances will take place February 9-11, 2017,

New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB) returns to New York Live Arts with its new Uptown/Downtown/Dance series from March 1-4, 2017 at 7:30pm with an additional 2pm matinee on Saturday. This year's program features a revival of Nijinsky's L'Apres-Midi d'un Faune staged by the 98-year-old Ann Hutchinson Guest, a new and as-of-yet untitled pas de trois by Pam Tanowitz, Frederick Ashton's La Chatte métamorphoses en femme, and Antonia Franceschi's She Holds Out Her Hand which premiered at Danspace in Fall 2016. All pieces will be performed to live music. A post-show celebration with wine, hors d'oeuvres, and music will be held after the opening night performance for which tickets are $75. Internationally recognized choreographer Bill T. Jones will speak with Fran Lebowitz, author and public speaker known for her sardonic social commentary on American life. 'In this era with its befuddling stream of changes, surprises and the most banal prescriptions for forward movement coming from every direction, I look forward to speaking with a true thinker and wit such as Fran Leibowitz,' states Jones.

Artists Zoe Buckman and Natalie Frank have pulled together quotes from politicians about women and their bodies that will be reproduced on a massive mural on the Ford Foundation Live Gallery at New York Live Arts.

Yackez, the art pop/multimedia collaboration of Larissa and Jon Velez-Jackson, aka Twitta and Papi Jon, will work the crowd again in their latest dance spectacle, Give It To You Stage, a large-scale dance musical in two acts. The performance of all original music written and performed by the duo also features their Queer pro-wrestling dance ensemble and a special appearance by older adult members of Larissa's citywide dance-fitness classes, creating a multi-generational interdisciplinary spectacle. Abingdon Theatre Company, under the artistic direction of Tony Speciale, presents the world premiere of CHESS MATCH NO. 5, conceived and directed by Anne Bogart, with text arranged by Jocelyn Clarke from the words of John Cage.

Jack Ferver is a New York-based writer, choreographer and director.  His genre-defying performances explore the tragicomedy of the human psyche. Ferver's works integrate and induct an array of psychological and socio-political issues, particularly in the realms of sexual orientation, gender and power struggles. 

MacArthur Genius Award and National Medal of the Arts recipient Bill T. Jones and his Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company present the critically acclaimed new dance/theater piece Analogy/Dora: Tramontane. The performance will take place today, February 3, 8pm, at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of North Carolina Greensboro's UNCG Auditorium.
