The Weston family has the uncanny ability of making each other absolutely miserable.

According to Variety, playwright Sam Shepard is in talks to play Beverly Weston in the film adaptation of Tracy Letts' play August: Osage County, directed by John Wells.

Eric Rosen, Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has cast thirteen veteran Kansas City actors in the Rep's production of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County, which Rosen will direct. The show runs September 16-October 9 at the Rep's Spencer Theatre.

When their father goes missing, the huge, sprawling and completely dysfunctional Weston family reunites and sparks fly.
