More than 400 women -- leaders of industry, media, government and the arts -- attended the Citymeals-on-Wheels 28th Annual 'Power Lunch for Women' at The Plaza Hotel on November 21, 2014. This by-invitation-only benefit, emceed by Emmy-winning co-hosts of the 4th Hour of The Today Show Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, raised $1.26 million -- enough to provide 196,000 meals for New York's homebound elderly. On August 15, Timmy the Great, a mad-cap musical comedy written by noted poet, writer, columnist, film maker, producer, playwright and educator Sandra Hochman will debut Off-Broadway at the Theater for the New City. Appealing to audiences of all age, the play comically chronicles the unlikely rise to power of a nine-year-old boy who champions reform that leads to chaos while confronting the irony of war. Timmy the Great features more than 21 songs co-written by Hochman and Gary Kupper, composer and lyricist of the popular children's musical Freckleface Strawberry, based on the New York Times best-selling children's book by Julianne Moore.

This by-invitation-only benefit, emceed by the "Good Morning America" Lifestyle Anchor Lara Spencer, raised over $1.1 million, or enough to provide more than 177,000 meals for New York's frail homebound aged.

Renowned actress, producer and humanitarian Mary Tyler Moore will receive Screen Actors Guild (SAG)'s most prestigious accolade - the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. Moore created a new paradigm for female leads in television, won top honors for her courageous performances in film, television and on stage, produced some of the most lauded television programs of all time, and for thirty years, has served as a tireless advocate giving hope to all those afflicted with Type 1 diabetes.
