MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL, set for Monday, December 15, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at The Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College (524 W. 59th St.).

On December 6, Jason Robert Brown will launch his 2015 Artist-In-Residence at SubCulture. The evening features, for the first time on one stage, original cast members from every one of his New York productions, from 1995's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD to this season's THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY.

Joel Grey and Jeanine Tesori were honored last night at the Encompass New Opera Theatre's Gala celebration at The National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South, New York City), starring in the Musical Salute are Jeffry Denman, David Garrison, Lisa Kron, Judy Kuhn, Karen Mason, Michael McElroy, Bebe Neuwirth, Tonya Pinkins, David Pittsinger, Ron Raines, Patricia Schuman, Christopher Sieber, and Betsy Wolfe. Today, Nancy Rhodes, Artistic Director of Encompass New Opera Theatre and Gala Honorary Chairs Sheldon Harnick, John Kander, Tony Kushner and Maury Yeston announced the October 26th Star-Studded Musical Salute honoring Two Luminaries of the American Musical Theater -- Tony and Academy Award Winning Legend JOEL GREY and Celebrated Award Winning Composer JEANINE TESORI.

Tony Award-winning composer and performer Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to present a unique concert event tonight, October 12, leading up to a special screening of classic movie musical GUYS & DOLLS.

Tonight, September 29 (8 pm), Symphony Space will present Sundance...Sings!, spotlighting songs from groundbreaking shows developed with support from the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, sung by a stellar cast. Christine Ebersole, Ann Harada, Annie Golden, Joshua Henry, and fourteen other notables will take the stage at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in selections from the Broadway oeuvre of Stew + Heidi Rodewald, Scott Frankel, Adam Guettel, Lisa Kron, Michael John LaChiusa, Bill Finn, Steven Lutvak, Duncan Sheik, and others.

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre presents the critically-acclaimed production THE LAST FIVE YEARS Nov. 6-9 at the Judy Bayley Theatre on the UNLV campus. The National Music Theater Institute (NMTI) is the newest credit-earning, semester-long intensive from the National Theater Institute. Utilizing the O'Neill's experience and excellence in training young theater artists and history of developing new musicals (including Nine, Avenue Q, In The Heights, [title of show], and Violet), NMTI offers broad-based training in all areas of musical theater: acting, singing, directing, writing, dance, composition, and choreography.

The world premiere production of the new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, written by Woody Allen, and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, and directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, will play its final performance on Broadway today, August 24 at the St. James Theatre.
