For the fourth consecutive year, the Philly Improv Theater (PHIT Comedy) will be the site for a 40-hour comedy marathon.

Gilbert Baker, creator of the Rainbow Flag (known affectionately as "The Gay Betsy Ross"), which became the international symbol for the LGBT community, died on March 31, 2017 in NYC.

Students from all over the regional will share their hopes, dreams, and desire through stunning spoken word performance in Long Wharf Theatre' annual Moments and Minutes Festival, taking place Friday, May 19 on Stage II.

Celebrate the season along America's most historic square mile with Historic Holiday Nights in Old City, presented by VISIT PHILADELPHIA® and Old City District. 

Star-Spangled Sitcoms: Huzzah & John Adams is written and produced by Cody Melcher and directed by Otherworld Theatre's director of development/actor Dylan Schaefer. See Every Monster, LLC's production comes to City Lit Theater, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Chicago, this November.

Partly Cloudy People presents The Seedling Project, written by six playwrights, directed by Jennifer Tuttle. Originally conceived by Eva Gil.

Broadwayworld.com interviewed Leslie Ayvazian who wrote Out of the City, now showing at Passage Theatre Company in Trenton. Directed by Murphy Davis, Ayvazian also plays Carol in the show.

Old City District presents Old City Fest on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 11:00am to 6:00pm, along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Activities will include a festival stage with live music, two runway fashion shows, a family fun zone, pop-up street performances and a wide array of food, beverages, art, craft and retail shopping, with 100+ Old City vendors participating. Admission is free, with food and drink pay-as-you-go.
