Yesterday, July 12th, Sardi's unveiled a caricature for the Tony Award-winning star of Nice Work If You Can Get It, Michael McGrath. BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities, and we bring you photos from the event below!

Submissions of performances for consideration for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® nominations are now open online, it was announced today by SAG Awards® Committee Chair JoBeth Williams.

Kristen Beth got to play Reno on Bway and is now understudying three principal roles in the Gershwin Tony winner.

On June 28, Tony's di Napoli Restaurant in Times Square added a new portrait to their outstanding Broadway Wall of Fame honoring the cast of the new Broadway musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It, starring Matthew Broderick, Kelli O'Hara, Michael McGrath, Judy Kaye, Estelle Parsons, Chris Sullivan and Jennifer Laura Thompson. Hosts Valerie Smaldone and Bruce Dimpflmaier presented the Dan May portrait to the show's stars in an intimate ceremony, and BroadwayWorld was there for the photo op!

Manhattan Theatre Club celebrated Artistic Director Lynne Meadow's 40th anniversary as the visionary and artistic leader of the organization with a special tribute last night, June 18. The event will began at 6:30 PM with a VIP cocktail reception, followed by a 7:30 tribute event at the Samuel J. Friedman and a party at Copacabana. The producers of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT have announced that Tony nominee Erin Dilly will take on the role of Billie Bendix from Sunday, July 15th to Sunday, July 29th only while four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara brings FAR FROM HEAVEN to Williamstown Theatre Festival prior to a 2013 Playwrights Horizons run. O'Hara returns to the show full time on Tuesday, July 31st.

McGrath, Beth Williams), Rich Entertainment Group (Bob and Mindy Rich), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan just announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will bow on Broadway in the 2012-2013 season. The album will be produced by six-time Grammy® nominee Robert Sher.

Actors' Equity Association (Equity), the Union which represents more than 49,000 working stage actors and stage managers nationwide, today announced the election results for the 8 officers and 17 National Council seats. Nick Wyman, Paige Price, Rebecca Kim Jordan, Ira Mont and Sandra Karas ran uncontested for the offices of President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Third Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively.

The admirable mission of Gigi Naglak and MeghAnn Williams, writer/performers of Chlamydia Dell'Arte: A Sex Ed Burlesque, is to remove some of the awkwardness in open discussions about human sexuality by treating intimate issues with humor.  Their modestly produced show, which just completed a week-long run at Los Kabayitos, is obviously built to travel, coming to Gotham via stints in Philly and DC, and the amiable pair pulls off their mission with endearing enthusiasm.

The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year's® 12th Season continued this week with The Broadway Musicals of 1975 on Monday, May 14th. 1975 was a year that brought us famous shows by musical theater icons including Marvin Hamlisch, (A Chorus Line), John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago), and Richard O'Brien (The Rocky Horror Show), among others. Produced by The Town Hall, The Broadway Musicals of 1975 was created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.
