Michael Weston joins Center Theatre Group's production of the Tony-nominated "Other Desert Cities" by Jon Robin Baitz. Weston joins the previously announced Jeannie Berlin, Robert Foxworth, Robin Weigert and JoBeth Williams. Robert Egan directs the West Coast premiere, which starts previews tonight November 28, 2012, opens December 9 and runs through January 6, 2013.

Students from Lawrence Academy of Music will have a chance to appear alongside Broadway performers in Elf the Musical at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center today, November 13-18. The young performers between the ages of 5 and 12 will include Nora Austin, Pippa Austin, Gavin Burkheimer, Eleanora Dane, Izzy Dane, Roseanna Dane, Nathaniel James, August McLaughlin, Sylvia Polansky, Will Scheffler, Maura Tarnowski and Annika Urness.

Blythe Danner Joins Cast of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, 12/16

The producers of the Tony Award winning musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT are pleased to announce that Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner will join the production for 12 weeks only beginning Tuesday, December 18th and continuing through March 10th. Ms. Danner will assume the role of Millicent Winter, the mother of Matthew Broderick's character Jimmy Winter. The role is currently played by Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, who will play her final performance on Sunday, December 16.

Rehearsals have begun for Center Theatre Group's production of the Tony-nominated "Other Desert Cities" by Jon Robin Baitz. The Screen Actors Guild Foundation (SAG Foundation) today announced that it has partnered with the Screen Actors Guild Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund (SAG MPPWF) to create a Superstorm Sandy Emergency Assistance Fund specifically to provide financial support grants to active SAG-AFTRA members affected by the recent hurricane.

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, announced the lineup for Brand:NEW Fall Festival of New Works, scheduled today, October 25 - 28. The Festival will include readings of five new plays by Octavio Solis, Bess Wohl, Dan O'Brien, Matthew Lopez and Janine Nabers, as well as a playwrights' panel on October 28 at 4:30 p.m.
