This past weekend, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark hosted a special Mother's Day themed Everyday Hero, this time honoring Cathy Fritea, a mother who lost her first-born son. Out of her grief, she started the Angels Fund charity, which helps comfort grieving parents who have lost a child. Rehearsals have begun for Wendy Schmidt's The Newlyweds, the sixth of seven plays being performed for the ChicagoNew Work Festival.
