On last night's LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS, Ben Platt, Laura Dreyfuss and the cast of DEAR EVAN HANSEN performed 'Waving Through a Window.' Later, Platt explains why the show causes a lot of tear from the audience.

Set you DVR! Tonight, November 22, Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt will be a couch guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Following a chat with Seth, he will sing "Waving Through a Window" (including his scene with Laura Dreyfuss), with piano accompaniment by Alex Lacamoire, as well as a 5-piece band.

Just yesterday, Bloomingdale's celebrated their highly anticipated holiday windows with the cast of Dear Evan Hansen, the new original musical now in previews on Broadway. Ben Platt, Laura Dreyfuss, Rachel Bay Jones and Jennifer Laura Thompson performed songs from the show as well as a holiday favorite. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the special evening below!

The year is 1940. The place is a small town in Indiana. Ralphie Parker is convinced that his life will not be complete unless he gets a Red Ryder Carbine Action BB gun for Christmas. Several weeks ago, in my review of Baldwin Wallace University's production of WEST SIDE STORY I stated, 'BWU's Music Theater program is nationally recognized for its quality, as evidenced by the number of its graduates who have light up the Broadway theater scene and touring productions. Of those in the WEST SIDE STORY cast I stated: 'Broadway bound? Colton Ryan, though not the tall macho leading man type, should find a place on the Great White Way in roles for the young, clean scrubbed type who have big voices.'

In a show of solidarity and support for their fellow artists, however, Broadway took to Twitter to express gratitude to the Hamilton cast and plea anew with Trump to respond to the rise in hate crimes since his election, the truth behind his settlement deal for defrauding thousands of Trump University students, and his plans to appoint known white nationalists—including Jeff Sessions, who, during the 1980s, was deemed too racist to be a federal judge—to his future cabinet.

La La Land: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - which features songs from Lionsgate's upcoming original musical, La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling - is now available for pre-order via all digital retailers. The album is due from Interscope Records on December 9th, the same day the film opens with a limited engagement.

Atlantic Records and Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich announced today that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen will be released on Atlantic Records this winter.

Dear Evan Hansen, the new musical with a book by Obie Award-winner Steven Levenson, score by Tony Award nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and direction by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, just began performances on Broadway last night, November 14, at the Music Box Theatre (239 W 45th St). Dear Evan Hansen will officially open on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

The beloved holiday film is being brought to life live-on-stage as the award-winning Broadway show, A Christmas Story, The Musical, embarks on an eight-city National Tour this holiday season opening in Utica, NY, tonight, November 15, 2016, with engagements in Waterbury, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit and Grand Rapids­.

Second Stage Theatre will host a special post-performance conversation between Anna Deavere Smith and The Atlantic journalist and New York Times bestselling author, Amanda Ripley, one of the interview subjects Ms. Smith portrays in her acclaimed new work, NOTES FROM THE FIELD.

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Anna Deavere Smith's critically acclaimed new work, NOTES FROM THE FIELD, will extend for one week and will now play through Sunday, December 18th at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd Street). The production, directed by Leonard Foglia and featuring original music composed and performed by Marcus Shelby, opened to rave reviews on November 2nd and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 11th.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of A Christmas Story, The Musical, November 25th on the Arenstein Stage at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street, with a preview on Wednesday, November 23.
