Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert aired last night, April 1, on NBC! Check out our top ten must-see clips from the broadcast below!

Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that tells the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ. It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.

Ken Davenport and Kurt Deutsch announced today that they have optioned the musical rights to the characters from the hit film franchise Vacation by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures to develop a new musical Broadway Vacation.

Tony Award winning choreographer and director George Faison (The Wiz) presented Andre De Shields, a two-time Tony nominee, Drama Desk nominee, Emmy winner and multi-Audelco Award and Outer Critics Circle Award winner, with the 2018 Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award at the 33rd Annual Bistro Awards Gala, held at Gotham Comedy Club in New York on March 12th. De Shields received the Bistro Awards' highest honor for his five decades of stage and nightclub accomplishments.

Will & Anthony put their fresh take on Jazz Standards, 60's Hits, Broadway Classics to Pavarotti, Billy Joel and Adele…"The New Classics" is an unforgettable evening of music and laughs where everything sounds new and always feels familiar. 

Just last night, Seth Meyers brought Jesus Christ Superstar to life in 'Popsicle Schticks'. The parody starts off with a quick nod to the iconic song 'Superstar,' then moves on to 'What's The Buzz?'. However, the lyrics sound a little more like this: 'What's the schtick? Tell me, what's a popsicle?' and 'Why should you want a schtick? Don't you mind about the popsicle.'

Academy Award and Golden Globe winning performer George Chakiris and acclaimed dancer, Barrie Chase have been named the honorees for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.  Emmy and Grammy nominated choreographer/director/singer Toni Basil will receive the organization's Choreographer's Award.  PDS' 31st Anniversary Luncheon will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (9876 Wilshire Blvd.) in Beverly Hills, CA.

Now entering its 28th year, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP), a program described by Playbill as 'The world's most prestigious musical theatre arts education program for high school and college students', announces Pamela Cooper of The Cooper Company will join the visiting faculty team. BTP faculty range from professional dancers and choreographers to vocal coaches and directors.

The 8th annual Kozlova International Ballet Competition will take place March 26-30 at Symphony Space, NYC.   More than 100 dancers from around the world, from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, USA, and Venezuela will gather in NYC to dance for scholarships to international schools, company contracts, and other awards before a distinguished jury led by Andris Liepa, former principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet and guest with ABT, NYCB, and other international companies.
