The Film Society of Lincoln Center welcomes Ben Stiller to direct, today, December 6-8, a complete survey of actor-director-producer-writer Ben Stiller's work behind the camera. Following the world premiere of his new film, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, at the 51st New York Film Festival, the Film Society of Lincoln Center celebrates Stiller's body of work as a director - one that happens also to include several of his greatest performances. Premium entertainment network EPIX announced today that Patton Oswalt: Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time, a stand-up comedy special featuring the two-time Grammy nominee, will make its World Premiere on Friday, January 17 at 10PM ET.

Deadline reports that Patton Oswalt will host the Film Independent's 29th SPIRIT AWARDS on March 1, 2014. The annual event will be held on the beach in Santa Monica. Nominations for the 2014 awards will be announced November 26.

CAMERIMAGE, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, announced today that Ben Stiller's new comedy drama The Secret Life of Walter Mitty has been selected to close the 21st edition of the Festival, which takes place November 16th – 23rd.

Museum of the Moving Image will present a trio of films by director James Toback, on the occasion of his latest film Seduced and Abandoned (2013), a quasi-documentary made with Alec Baldwin and shot at the Cannes Film Festival in the hopes of raising money for a film project. The Museum will screen Seduced and Abandoned, with personal appearances by Toback and Alec Baldwin, on November 13. Toback will also appear in person to present screenings of Black and White (1999) and his rarely shown documentary The Big Bang (1989) on November 10.
