Stages St. Louis will host PUTTING IT TOGETHER, a one-night-only cabaret event benefiting the organization's Education and Artistic Programs. PUTTING IT TOGETHER will feature some of Stages' favorite talents. Executive producer Jack Lane and special guests will perform alongside Casey Erin Clark, currently playing Maria in Stages' production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and Ben Nordstrom, making his highly anticipated St. Louis return.

Today, July 3, the New York Musical Theatre Festival hosted a press preview day in which several shows treated the audience to special performances. On hand to represent 'Stealing Time' was Jesus Christ Superstar alum Jeremy Kushnier, who performed the show's title number. Click below to see him in action!

As previously announced, Jeremy Kushnier (Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Rachel York (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) and Jack Noseworthy (A Chorus Line, Sweet Smell of Success) lead the cast of New York Musical Theater Festival's 'Stealing Time,' the latest work of writers/composers Tor Hyams and Lisa Neubauer. 'Stealing Time' will play as a special event in the 2012 New York Musical Theater Festival at the PTC Performance Space. 'Stealing Time' is the second NYMF project for Hyams coming off the success of 'Greenwood' starring Andrea McArdle in the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival. Eighteen students competed for thousands of dollars in personal scholarships and special prizes. A distinguished panel of performing arts professionals - with careers spanning film, TV and Broadway - had the difficult job of judging the acts. But the winners have been announced.

Gala at the Ritz-Carlton, a benefit supporting the theatre's Education and Outreach Programs and the employment of St. Louis artists. APPLAUSE! 2011 raised proceeds of over $435,000, breaking all records for STAGES fundraising efforts.

On Friday, May 6th, twelve metro area high schools brought the crowd to their feet at The Fabulous Fox Theatre as they poured their hearts and souls out on stage at the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Finals.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) presents Macbeth by William Shakespeare. This poetic and potent drama will be performed on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, thru March 6, 2011.

Since I've become a theatre critic I've had the opportunity to see several productions of William Shakespeare's MACBETH, and most have left me wanting in one way or another. But, just as Roman Polanski's gritty 1971 film adaptation is, for me at least, the best interpretation of the Bard's play that has been made into a movie, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has produced a staging that is vastly superior to any I have encountered to this point. This dark, bloody, and brooding production of Macbeth provides an excellent evening of theatre, and features a talented cast and powerful design and direction.
