National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce this year's line-up for the MIDDAY CABARETS and SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE hosted byCome From Away's Caesar Samayoa, which are part of the 29th annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, 2017 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

The evening will feature a a special concert presentation of the musical Striking 12, with book, music, and lyrics by Brendan Milburn, Rachel Sheinkin and Val Vigoda.

Capathia Jenkins and Alton Fitzgerald White were featured in the Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, June 27, celebrating the Di-tone Records release of the acclaimed song cycle, Dream Suite: Songs in Jazz and Blues, by award-winning composer Louis Rosen, on poems by Langston Hughes. On Monday, June 20 at 7pm, Grammy nominee Alexandra Silber (currently starring as Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway) will celebrate the release of the world premiere recording of Arlington, by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen, with a special concert at Birdland titled, "Al(exandra) Silber's Casual Monday."
