The Time Out New York Lounge will present Karaoke Idol 2013, New York's hottest karaoke competition! The 2013 edition of KARAOKE IDOL is your chance to win the Grand Prize of $500! Featuring a new celebrity judge each week - from Broadway stars to casting agents! This year hosted by Ben Cameron along with "Show Biz Spitfire" Paige Turner and Justin Luke as weekly guest judges. Young Audiences Arts for Learning (YA) is proud to announce our culminating 60th anniversary event, the Young Audiences 60th Anniversary National Conference. The 60th Anniversary National Conference is a three-day symposium that will include peer-to-peer discussions regarding current issues and trends in arts-in-education, unrivaled professional development opportunities, and a visit to one of Young Audiences' affiliate programs in New York City, New Jersey, or Connecticut. The National Conference begins on Thursday, April 25 and concludes on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.

Carol Lawrence hosts, with special guest performers Liliane Montevecchi (NINE, GRAND HOTEL) and Tony Sheldon (PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT). A reunion of the Ladies of SWEET CHARITY follows up last year's reunion of the Ladies of CHICAGO.

Northrop PAC Selected for Innovation Lab for the Performing Arts, Round 8

Northrop Performing Arts Center, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Redmoon Theater and The Theater Offensive have been selected to participate in Round 8 of the Innovation Lab for the Performing Arts, an intensive training and immersion program that supports prototyping of innovations at nonprofit theater, dance, jazz and presenting organizations. Designed and managed by EmcArts, the Innovation Lab is funded by a generous $1.6 million grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF).
