Originally seen as a staged reading as part of Vibrant 2017 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, the world premiere of Checkpoint Chana by Jeff Page starring Geraldine Somerville runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 4 March 2018 (Press Night: Monday, 5 March 2018 at 7.30pm).

Miss Nightingale, will make its West End debut at the prestigious Theatre at the Hippodrome Casino in London's Leicester Square, for a strictly limited seven-week run in their 180-seat theatre, from 21 March - 6 May.

When performance artist Bryony Kimmings was approached by Complicite to create a new show, the invitation came from producer Judith Dimant - who had just received a cancer diagnosis. Never one to shy away from creating art from life, Bryony asked Judith if she wanted to make a production about cancer. What followed was a baptism of fire, and an unexpected journey into the 'Kingdom of the Sick' - following patients, meeting doctors and learning from world experts. What Bryony didn't know is how far into the Kingdom she would fall.

Complicite will stage a reimagined version of A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer, its collaboration with performance artist Bryony Kimmings. Kimmings will lead the company in this reworked production touring the UK before performances in Australia.

tackroom theatre today announces the world premiere production, Why is the Sky Blue? (Or How to Make Slime), devised by the company around a collection of interviews with children from around the UK, it opens in The Little at Southwark Playhouse on 1 May, with previews from 26 April and runs until 19 May.

Returning to the stage for a new UK tour in 2018, Dusty Springfield musical Son of a Preacher Man will run at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre 13-17 February, directed and choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.

The hit musical inspired by the life of rock legend Marc Bolan, 20th Century Boy, returns to the stage on a UK-wide tour to mark the 40th anniversary of the iconic star's untimely death. Opening on 8 March at G-Live in Guildford, the production will enjoy a 20-week tour, visiting 27 theatres through to Saturday 30 June.

Alice Barlow and Michelle Gayle will star in the heart-warming new musical Son of a Preacher Man. Alice will play the role of Kat from 16 January 2018 and Michelle will play the role of Alison from 6 March 2018.

MGC has announced the full casting for Michael Grandage's production of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore which opens at the No l Coward Theatre on 4 July, with previews from 23 June and runs until 8 September. The FINBOROUGH150 series opens with the first London production since 1890 of Cyril's Success by playwright and local resident Henry J. Papatango today announce the full tour dates for the world premi re of Sam Potter's Hanna which she wrote as part of her residency with the company the play is also published by Nick Hern Books. Directed by the company's Artistic Director George Turvey and starring Sophie Khan Levy, Hanna opens at the Arcola Theatre on 5 January 2018, with previews from 3 January, and runs until 20 January ahead of a 10-venue national tour to Cheltenham, Oxford, Canterbury, Bedford, Luton, Exeter, Mold, Liverpool, Greenwich and Cardiff.
