Three generations of women in one British Asian family will have their extraordinary story told on stage in Coventry this spring in a powerful new play by Yellow Earth Theatre and Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester. Adapted from the bestselling memoir by Helen Tse, Mountains: The Dreams of Lily Kwok charts a multisensory journey from Hong Kong to Manchester, unfolding the remarkable history behind the founding of the famous Sweet Mandarin restaurant.

Loss and Laughter in THE LEFTOVERS at the Belgrade Theatre

Midlands-based company Sheep Soup will explore the pains of grief and the pitfalls of artistic interpretation in a brand new musical coming to the Belgrade Theatre this spring. Abbey Wright directs Tiani Hoath, Marina Marchevska, Louis Holley, Oscar Bennett, Gracie Weldon, Reuel Guzman, Osian Thompson, Violet Tucker?Steel, Hal Gordon, Lewis Elliot, Harrison Slater, Sophie Alibert, Jamal Simon, Zachary Hing, Millie Thew, Michael Sookhan, Ruby Ablett, Annie Hawkins and Corey Peterson. Devised by the company around a collection of interviews with children from around the UK, it opens in The Little at Southwark Playhouse on 1 May, with previews from 26 April and runs until 19 May.

Donmar Warehouse Announces Full Casting for THE WAY OF THE WORLD

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for James Macdonald's new revival of William Congreve's Restoration comedy masterpiece The Way of The World. Haydn Gwynne will be playing the role of Lady Wishfort, replacing Linda Bassett who has sadly had to withdraw from the production before the start of rehearsals for personal reasons.

Originally seen as a staged reading as part of Vibrant 2017 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, the world premiere of Checkpoint Chana by Jeff Page starring Geraldine Somerville runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 4 March 2018 (Press Night: Monday, 5 March 2018 at 7.30pm).

20TH CENTURY BOY Returns to the Stage With New UK Tour

The hit musical inspired by the life of rock legend Marc Bolan, 20th Century Boy, returns to the stage on a UK-wide tour to mark the 40th anniversary of the iconic star's untimely death. Opening on 8 March at G-Live in Guildford, the production will enjoy a 20-week tour, visiting 27 theatres through to Saturday 30 June.
