Porchlight Music Theatre presents Jonathan Larson's tick, tick…BOOM!, directed by Adam Pelty with music direction by Diana Lawrence, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., April 28 - June 10. Preview performances are Saturday, April 28 at 8 p.m., Sunday, April 29 at 2 and 6 p.m. and Monday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Opening/press night is Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. The performance schedule is Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is an additional Friday, June 1 performance at 10 p.m. Single tickets are $38 with group and student discounts available. Chicago's Court Theatre has announced casting for Porgy and Bess which is set to run May 12 - June 19. The cast will include: Todd M. Kryger (Porgy), Alexis Rogers (Bess), Karla Beard (Serena), Bear Bellinger (Peter), Sean Blake (Sportin' Life), James Earl Jones II (Crown), Brian-Alwyn Newland (Robbins), Harriet Nzinga Plumpp (Clara), Kelvin Roston, Jr. (Jim), Bethany Thomas (Maria), Travis Turner (Mingo), Adrienne Walker (Annie), and Byron Glenn Willis (Jake).
