The One Night Only Special Benefit Performance of 'Playing Our Songs' is on Sunday, September 13th at 7 pm with the award-winning Marvin Hamlisch, Robert Klein and Lucie Arnaz.

The days of summer are numbered, but the pace is not slowing down at Bay Street! This weekend marks the last chance to see the musical the New York Times calls 'A joyous sendup bursting with can-do spirit.'

The summer laughs continue through Labor Day, as Bay Street's Comedy Club presents actress/comedian Janeane Garofalo & funny man Al Madrigal for an outrageous night of fun Monday, September 7 at 8pm.

Producing Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin is pleased to announce that the 2007 smash hit Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) is returning to MetroStage August 27 through October 18, 2009.

Featuring café-style seating for a 99-seat audience, this new second space allows Bay Street to present works in development for their Workshop Series, sponsored in part by the Lucille Lortel Foundation.

With a nod to the economic woes of families, Bay Street Theatre is offering up new Family Friendly Fares for their latest hit, Dames At Sea. Bay Street's production, which the NY TIMES calls, 'A joyous sendup bursting with can-do spirit', is a rollicking musical filled with song and dance that could melt the hardest of hearts.

Summer is in full swing and Bay Street Theatre is proud to present the already popular new addition to its' educational programming line-up, a two-week long Performing Arts Camp, where kids will learn to write and star in their very own mini-musical! This summer's session will be taught by Bay Street professionals, but will take place at the Hampton Country Day Camp, located at 175 Daniels Hole Rd in Wainscott.

The summer scene can be frantic in the Hamptons, but there is an oasis to be found on Thursday afternoons at Bay Street Theatre's 'OUR TOWN' series. South Coast Repertory kicks off the 2009-10 Season with Putting It Together, a compilation of Stephen Sondheim songs, that the composer put together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, creating a narrative set at a cocktail party in an elegant Manhattan condo. The non-traditional musical, led by Broadway and television star Harry Groener, has a cast of five (a glamorous but slightly jaded couple, a starry-eyed younger couple and a savvy observer) who sing more than 30 songs that reflect their lives, lifestyles and moods of the moment. Some of the songs will be familiar, some less so, a few were even cut from their original musical scores, but they are all sophisticated, smart and drop-dead droll. All, in other words, Sondheim.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) will launch its 31st season this fall with the New York premiere of Anna Deavere Smith's LET ME DOWN EASY. Conceived, written, and performed by Ms. Smith and directed by Leonard Foglia, LET ME DOWN EASY will begin preview performances on Tuesday, September 15 and will officially open on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:45pm.
