Following a critically acclaimed World Premiere at The 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, Razors Edge Productions proudly presents a revival of Zombie, an award-winning solo play by Bill Connington, adapted from the novella by Joyce Carol Oates. Zombie is directed by Thomas Caruso and performed by Bill Connington. Zombie began performances on February 18 and continues through March 29, 2009 in a limited 6-week engagement at the Theatre Row Complex (Studio Theatre), located at 410 West 42 Street between 9 & 10 Avenues in NYC. Official opening was on February 21. Post-show discussions will follow select shows.

Yes it's OSCAR Night at Bay Street, and it promises to be another fun-filled evening for the entire community to enjoy together, with doors opening for the red carpet coverage beginning at 7pm on the big screen. Admission is free and all are welcome. Oscar Night coverage begins with Bay Street's own version of the red carpet, with local TV and media on hand. Dress up in high glam fashion (or not)-from ball gowns to torn jeans-all are welcome. Not only is admission free, but there is a chance you might even return home richer than when you arrived. That's because the evening will include a number of raffles for prizes, including free theatre tickets, interesting pieces from Bay Street's prop and wardrobe collections, a spa treatment, and a 50/50 raffle-where Bay Street will split the pot with the lucky winner.

Bay Street Theatre is proud to announce the arrival of its all new CABARET @ THE BAY. Beginning Valentine's night, Saturday, February 14th at 10pm, Bay Street will kick off its new weekly program offering of Cabaret, with musical performers from the East End to New York City. The Cabaret@The Bay promises to be another great addition to Bay Street's recent ?economy-buster' line-up, with tickets at just $20 for these weekly live performances. The series begins on Saturday, February 14th with the musical talents of Debra Barsha, current pianist, singer, and Assistant Conductor of Broadway's Jersey Boys. Beyond her performing talents, Ms. Barsha is also known for her songwriting, and she has penned a number of musicals for both children and adults alike. Ms. Barsha's affiliation with Bay Street dates back to 1992, when she first helped to orchestrate the original cabaret line-up. Since that time she has led an amazing career leading all the way to Broadway. Additionally, in her ?free' time, Ms. Barsha is also now serving as Bay Street's new Director of Kids Camps being offered to students of all ages during the school vacation breaks.

Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the 26-member Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Newcomers to the cast include Gavin Creel, Caissie Levy and Sasha Allen, who join the rest of the tribe, who are reprising their roles from Central Park last summer. Currently in rehearsal at the Union Square Theatre, HAIR begins preview performances on Friday, March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC) with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced casting for its production of RAGTIME in the Eisenhower Theater April 18 - May 10, 2009. Based on a 1975 novel by E.L. Doctorow, the production features book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge. The musical is part of the Kennedy Center's Broadway: The Third Generation, a series celebrating the current generation of Broadway musical composers. The official press night will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

Casting has been announced for the much anticipated San Francisco return of the smash hit musical WICKED, which begins Tuesday, January 27, 2009 for an open-ended engagement at the Orpheum Theatre. This production is a significant homecoming for WICKED, which premiered in San Francisco before casting its spell on Broadway, winning 20 major awards, including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards.
