Pace University's Pace New Musicals Program, now in it's fourth year, is a workshop initiative that offers students the invaluable opportunity take part in the developmental process of new material with up-and coming writers.

Bay Street Theatre's KidStreet Series continues with music, dance and fun for the entire family this Thanksgiving Weekend, as Hot Peas ‘N Butter takes the stage on Friday, November 27 with two shows at 1pm and 3pm.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) will launch its 31st season this fall with the New York premiere of Anna Deavere Smith's LET ME DOWN EASY. Conceived, written, and performed by Ms. Smith and directed by Leonard Foglia, LET ME DOWN EASY will begin preview performances on Tuesday, September 15 and will officially open on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:45pm.

The romance of Florence comes to life on stage as Philadelphia Theatre Company continues its 2009-2010 season with the hit Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza with book by Craig Lucas and music and lyrics by Adam Guettel on November 13 - December 6. Directed by Joe Calarco, the ensemble cast features Whitney Bashor, Sherri Edelen, Joe Guzman, Ken Krugman, Kyra Miller, Fran Prisco, Matthew Scott, and Maureen Torsney-Weir.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is pleased to present Best of Both Worlds, a new musical for the whole family.

In case you haven't yet heard the news, Bay Street Theatre has announced a major fundraising campaign aimed at righting its financial ship, which has been hit hard by the economic recession. But the first potential life preserver has been cast, by an anonymous donor who has put forth a $250,000 challenge grant.

Bay Street Theatre's new educational program, LITERATURE LIVE!, kicked off with THE DIARY OF Anne Frank, playing now through November 21. The show runs weekdays at various times (to accommodate school groups) and Saturday evenings at 7pm. All shows are open to the public, as well as to groups from schools, churches and synagogues. Tickets are $10 and $15.

Bay Street Theatre will be hosting the Long Island Film Festival on Friday, November 13 beginning at 4pm. A wide array of films, talkbacks and awards will be featured during this special evening. The night finishes with a special viewing of the festival's feature film, 'Goyband' at 8pm.
