Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD is currently in previews in London's West End at the Palace Theatre, where it will open on July 30. Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornily lead the cast as Harry, Hermione and Ron, as part of a company of 42 talented actors. In Agamemnon, Andrew French plays Agamemnon, Nigel Barratt plays Menelaus, Sharon Duncan-Brewster plays Clytemnestra and Louise McMenemy plays Messenger. The cast of Agamemnon will all play Voice in Chorus. In Iphigenia and Clytemnestra, Shannon Tarbet plays Iphigenia and Maid, Susie Trayling plays Clytemnestra and Professor, Dwane Walcott plays Achilles and Soldier and Anthony Barclay plays Agamemnon and Director. The Iphigenia Quartet opens at the Gate Theatre, on 3 May, with previews from 23 April, until 21 May. Shoreditch Town Hall today announces that theatre-maker Greg Wohead, whose new show Comeback Special runs at the Town Hall from 22 - 26 March (press night 24 March), has joined the organisation as an Associate Artist. He has previously performed The Ted Bundy Project at Shoreditch Town Hall and now returns with the world premiere of Comeback Special, a solo re-enactment of Elvis Presley's 1968 Comeback Special. Expect jam sessions, patter with a Southern drawl, big dance numbers and a bit of sweat as Wohead brings some Memphis magic to East London.
