The National Theatre's internationally acclaimed stage production of War Horse today releases over 100,000 new tickets for sale for the West End production, taking booking at the New London Theatre to 15 February 2014. War Horse, which has now been seen by over 1.6million people in London and by over 3 million people worldwide, received its world premiere at the National Theatre in October 2007.

Audiences coming to Segerstrom Center for the Arts to see the Tony Award winning show WAR HORSE can explore a special interactive lobby exhibit illustrating the artistry and history behind the show as well as WWI artifacts and uniforms. They will learn more about the magnificent 'Joey' puppet created by Handspring Puppet Company, see behind-the-scenes footage featuring Adrian Kohler and Basil Jones - puppet designers for WAR HORSE, try their hand at operating a puppet created in the style of 'Young Joey' and learn from an American WWI soldier about what life might have been like during 'The War to End all Wars.' The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre in 2012. The 44th annual LADCC Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 18 at historic, heralded Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street in downtown L.A.

The Kennedy Center presents the National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett production of War Horse from October 23 to November 11, 2012 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Winner of five 2011 Tony Awards® including Best Play and based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo and adapted by Nick Stafford, the tour of War Horse is directed by Bijan Sheibani based on the original Tony Award®-winning direction by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and presented in association with Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. Michael Morpurgo's novel, War Horse, is also the inspiration for Steven Spielberg's feature film of the same name, which earned six Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture. Press night will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

WAR HORSE is now Toronto's longest-running professional drama of all time. Performances began February 2, 2012, at the Princess of Wales Theatre and the show has since played 232 performances. The show's immense popularity has prompted an extension. WAR HORSE will now play until November 4, 2012 at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre. This week three new and six returning cast members will join the London company of the National Theatre's internationally acclaimed stage production War Horse at the New London Theatre.

Joey from the National Theatre's acclaimed production of War Horse appeared on stage at the Olympic Park to salute Team GB and the world's athletes. Led by Captain Nicholls (Alex Avery), Joey reared in salute to the crowd at Park Live, which included Zara Phillips who along with her team later won silver in the equestrian events in Greenwich. Now in its fourth year in the West End, Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's book has been playing to sell-out houses at the New London Theatre since March 2009. The Broadway production of War Horse, which continues its run at the Lincoln Center's Vivien Beaumont Theatre, was the winner of six Tony Awards including a Special Tony Award for Handspring Puppet Company. In February of this year War Horse opened to great critical acclaim at The Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto. War Horse premiered at The National Theatre in October 2007.

The West Coast premiere of The National Theatre production of War Horse opened yesterday at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Performances for the powerful drama will continue through July 29, 2012. View red carpet photos below!
