Cast of NEWSIES Set for Elektra Theatre Opening of SILENCE! The Musical, July 25

The brand new Elektra Theatre officially opens in Times Square tomorrow evening, July 25th. The first tenant at the Elektra Theatre is the transfer of the award-winning smash Off-Broadway hit, SILENCE! The Musical. The festivities will begin with a 6 PM cocktail hour, attended by Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Kara Lindsay and the cast of Broadway's NEWSIES. There will be an 8:30 after party immediately following the 7 PM performance of SILENCE! The Musical.

Kimberly Stern is returning to the cast of Off-Broadway's SILENCE! The Musical tonight, July 18th in the role of Buffalo Bill's plus-sized victim, Catherine Martin. Tomorrow also marks the first performance of SILENCE! The Musical at its new home, the brand new Elektra Theatre in Times Square. The Elektra Theatre has been specially constructed to be the new home of SILENCE! The Musical, located at 673 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St).

The Musical is winding up its run at PS122 (150 First Ave. at Ninth St.) tonight, July 15, at the 7 PM performance before moving to the brand new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, where performances are set to resume this Wednesday, July 18th. The Elektra Theatre has been specially constructed to be the new home of SILENCE! The Musical, located at 673 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St.).

Randy Harrison to Join SILENCE!, 7/18

Beginning next Wednesday, July 18th, Randy Harrison will assume the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter's nemesis, Dr. Chilton, in Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical. The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan- Producing Artistic Director) will present a new production of the rarely performed Ionescopade, a 'musical vaudeville,' the first in an exciting roster of works for the York's 2012 Season. Ionescopade, taken from the works of Eugene Ionesco, features music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden and was originally conceived by Robert Allan Ackerman. Ionescopade will begin performances January 23, 2012, with an official opening night set for February 2 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th St, just east of Lexington Avenue.

The full cast also includes Paul Binotto (Enter Laughing, The Musical), Samuel Cohen (Oh, Calcutta!), David Edwards (The Fantasticks), Leo Ash Evens (West Side Story, London), Susan J. Jacks (Forbidden Broadway), and Tina Stafford (I Married Wyatt Earp).Ionescopade will begin performances January 23, 2012, with an official opening night set for February 2 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th St, just east of Lexington Avenue.
