BET's annual fashion spectacular, RIP THE RUNWAY returns with the fiercest group of breakout designers showcasing their collaborative collections to some of the hottest names in music.

The highly anticipated music special airs for the first time in its 12 year history during the Easter Season, further enriching the power, meaning and significance of the 'Celebration of Gospel.'

Selita Ebanks and Pooch Hall are set to host this year's 'RIP THE RUNWAY', BET Networks announced today. This year's show embodies the theme - 'Music, Fashion, Freedom' by embracing a crop of emerging designers, influencers and tastemakers. 'RIP THE RUNWAY' will tape on Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and premiere on March 21, 2012 @ 10 pm* on BET.

Beginning at 11:30AM ET/8:30AM PT, BET News and CENTRIC, along with on-air correspondents April Woodard and Lola Oguinake will bring viewers complete live, in-depth coverage of the legendary pop singer's funeral from her childhood church, New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark, New Jersey.

On Monday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m.*, 106 & PARK will pay tribute to the Whitney Houston's life and legacy with a 3-hour special episode followed by the 9:00 p.m.* premiere of BET HONORS 2012.

Acclaimed actress Gabrielle Union hosts the show for a fourth year, honoring renowned poet/author Maya Angelou (Literary Arts), internationally acclaimed musician Stevie Wonder (Musical Arts), Grammy-Award winning songstress Mariah Carey (Entertainer), influential filmmaker Spike Lee (Media), the heroic Tuskegee Airmen (Service) and inspirational coach and mentor Beverly Kearney (Education).

This Black History Month, BET and CENTRIC will showcase the range, richness and diversity of the African-American experience with an exciting lineup of programming highlighting the cultural contributions of black America.

Syfy has named Robyn Lattaker-Johnson, Wayne Sampson and Colin Whelan as Vice Presidents, Alternative Programming, it was announced today by Tim Krubsack, SVP, Alternative Programming, to whom they will report. Also added to the programming department are Tori Socha and Andrew Whitney, who join as Directors, Alternative Programming.
