Part of SCERA's Theatre for Young Audiences program, 'Tremendously Tall Tales' will reflect the adventures of American icons like Johnny Appleseed, John Henry and Paul Bunyan, but will also add pratfalls, sight gags and hat tricks in the style of vaudeville. The performance, directed by Robinne Booth, is less than an hour long. Check out just-released production shots from the show!

Following last year's sell-out success, MAD presented this year's annual festive fundraiser at The Actors' Church, Covent Garden, A WEST END CHRISTMAS. The event took place on December 4, and guests perfoming included: Peter Bowles, Maureen Lipman, Nigel Harman, Alison Jiear, Scott Garnham, Will Barratt & Keiran B. Brown, alongside West End Casts including: Disney's The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Shrek, 39 Steps and Legally Blonde. The evening also featued an original song by Bobby Cronin and Angelyn Benson from their adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, performed by Jye Frasca (JERSEY BOYS, THRILL ME). Taproot Theatre Company continues its 35th Anniversary Season this summer with Something's Afoot. 'The butler didn't do it!' So starts this murder mystery musical that has been delighting audiences for decades. When wealthy Lord Rancour is found dead at his lakeside estate, the race to find out whodunit begins. Filled with booby-traps and belted songs, this hilarious spoof hums along as you play armchair detective to a zany cast of characters. Something's Afoot, directed by Scott Nolte, opens on July 15 and runs through August 13, with previews on July 13 & 14.

EMG Presents a night of comedy and singing: Meet the Browns! Starring David and Tamela Mann also known as Brown & Cora from the hit TV show! Saturday May 21st at 7:30 pm. Mr. Brown is in his mid ‘60s, and he's a church deacon who's very proud about being saved. He has one brother, Larry 'L.B.' Brown and one sister Vera. He was married years ago, but his wife passed. Recently, however, he learned that he has a daughter, Cora Simmons, as a result of a one-night stand on prom night with Mabel 'Madea' Simmons. Brown is a very nice, caring, giving man, but not terribly bright. And his style of dress is beyond outrageous.

This true story will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Written by Douglas Anderson and directed by Karen Lund, The Beams are Creaking opens on March 25 and runs through April 23, with previews on March 23 and 24.
