KATSURA SUNSHINE'S RAKUGO Begins Off-Broadway Run Sep. 19

Celebrated, internationally renowned performer Katsura Sunshine will bring the ancient Japanese art of Rakugo to New York in Katsura Sunshine's Rakugo for its official Off-Broadway debut at New World Stages beginning September 19, press and running through January 4, 2020. 

HERE To Honor Resident Artist Taylor Mac At BLOOM, HERE's 2019 Spring Gala

On May 13, the OBIE-winning HERE will honor MacArthur fellow Taylor Mac and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation ArtsProgram at BLOOM, HERE's annual spring gala. The evening celebrates Mac, a playwright, actor, singer-songwriter, performance artist, director and producer and "critical darling of the New York scene" (New York Magazine) who also has been HERE's resident playwright since 2016. Mac's current Broadway debut, Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, was commissioned by HERE and written during Mac's residency.

Katsura Sunshine's RAKUGO Offers Sneak Peak

Executive Producers Steven Honigman and Joe Trentacosta in association with Yumi Shinozaki and The Yoshimoto Creative Agency of Japan introduce the internationally renowned performer Katsura Sunshine to New York City with Katsura Sunshine's Rakugo with a special Valentine's Day weekend special presentation before its full Off-Broadway run this Spring.
