Vassar & New York Stage and Film announce casting highlights for the 27th annual Powerhouse Theater season (June 24-July 31, 2011) and the schedule for Readings Festival 1 (June 24-26).

Tocqueville Restaurant and Eating Their Words, the one-of-a-kind company that blends the performing and culinary arts, announce the exquisite menu for their special Valentine's Day lunch event. Tocqueville and Eating Their Words' October collaboration was a sold-out success. For this intimate holiday event, Tocqueville's Executive Chef and owner, Marco Moreira, joins forces with playwrights Theresa Rebeck (Pulitzer finalist, Mauritius), Jonathan Marc Sherman (Things We Want), and Sam Forman (The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall). Three original plays, performed between the courses they inspired, are brought to life by Tony Award nominee Isabel Keating (The Boy from Oz), Christopher Evan Welch (Festen, Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Austin Lysy (The American Plan), and Aya Cash (Killers and Other Family). The Sunday, February 14th lunch and performance begins at 1PM. Tickets are available through the Eating Their Words website at www.eatingtheirwords.com, or Tocqueville, at 212-647-1515.

Reinventing 'dinner theater' as an artistic collaboration between chef and playwrights, the diner experiences three short plays happening at the table next to them, voyeuristically overhearing a conversation (the short play) taking place over meal.

Manhattan Theatre Club?s acclaimed production of Richard Greenberg?s The American Plan begins the final two weeks of its extended engagement tonight at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Mercedes Ruehl is no stranger to the high-stakes of mother/daughter on-stage drama. In her 1991 Tony Award-winning performance as the intriguing 'special' daughter Bella in Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers, she stood-up to her stern mother on more than one occasion. Only now, the tables have turned! Ms. Ruehl finds herself on Broadway as the mighty matriarch in Richard Greenberg's family-feud 'The American Plan.'

Lily Rabe, who is currently appearing in MTC's critically acclaimed production of THE AMERICAN PLAN, will be featured this weekend on 'CBS2 News Sunday' at approximately 8:45 AM. Rabe spoke to CBS2 anchor Dana Tyler at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre for the segment. Tyler spoke to Rabe about her recent success with THE AMERICAN PLAN as well as her recent successes both on and Off-Broadway.
