Michele Pawk to Star in 17 ORCHARD POINT Off-Broadway, Begin. 4/25

The world premiere of 17 Orchard Point, a new play starring Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk, will begin performances on Friday, April 25 for a limited four-week Off-Broadway run at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) through May 24. Written by Anton Dudley (Substitution, Getting Home) & Stephanie DiMaggio, and directed by Stella Powell-Jones, 17 Orchard Point will have its official opening night on Sunday, May 4 at 7pm. 'OH DAD, POOR DAD' Comes to TACT in Arlington, 3/21-4/12

Broadway's Andrea Rivette to Perform at Firehouse, 2/9

Firehouse Theatre Project once again brings Broadway to Richmond with a one night only performance by Richmond Theatre Critics Circle (RTCC) Award winner Andrea Rivette, Sunday, February 9th at 8pm. O'Neill Center Receives NEA Funding for 2014 National Playwrights and Music Theater Conferences

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is one of 895 nonprofit organizations nationwide granted federal funding through an Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, announced last week by NEA Acting Chairman Joan Shigekawa. The O'Neill will receive $55,000 to support the continued development of new work during its 2014 National Playwrights and National Music Theater Conferences. The O'Neill received a $50,000 NEA grant last year.

Lark Play Development Center to Present BareBones SKELETON CREW Workshop, 2/21-3/3

The Lark Play Development Center announces a BareBones workshop production of Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau (Detroit '67 and Sunset Baby), the third and final play in her Detroit cycle, to be directed by Artistic Director of Baltimore's Center Stage and Chancellor of the University of the Arts London, Kwame Kwei-Armah. The workshop will run at Lark's BareBones Studio from February 21 - March 3 at 311 West 43rd Street in New York City. All tickets will be free and will open for reservations in January.

TheatreZone Adds HIGH SOCIETY, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND Matinees

TheatreZone Artistic Director Mark Danni today announced the addition of two performances: a Saturday matinee of the production of Whistle Down the Wind on January 18th at 2 pm, and a Saturday matinee of the production of High Society on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at 2 pm.

Symphony Space, in collaboration with Hermitage Artist Retreat, presents the world premiere of The Day Before, a one-time-only multimedia event, on Friday, November 8 at 7:30 pm in the Leonard Nimoy Thalia. Conceived by the two organizations, it is produced and directed by Symphony Space's Artistic Director, Laura Kaminsky. The Day Before brings together more than 60 composers, writers, filmmakers, and visual artists to contribute original work around the theme November 21, 1963: The Day Before. Sparked by the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, this moving production reimagines the world as it was on the eve of that tragic and cataclysmic day.

The People's Tenor Comes to Naples at TheatreZone in CHESS in March 2014

Internationally renowned tenor Michael Amante, affectionately known as "The People's Tenor," and one of the touring New York Tenors, will play the Freddie Trumper role as a lonely American chess wizard in TheatreZone's production of Chess - the Musical today announced artistic director Mark Danni. Lindsay Harris Friel's TRAVELING LIGHT Set for Philly Fringe, Now thru 9/14

London's 'Summer of Love' comes to Center City in the Philly Fringe with the Philadelphia premiere of 'Traveling Light' by Philadelphia playwright Lindsay Harris Friel. The play is directed by Liam Castellan and produced by Liam's Sofa Cushion Fortress in The Skybox at The Adrienne Theater, tonight, September 6-14, 2013.
