Arthur Kopit, playwright, librettist, screenwriter, adapter and mentor, a multiple Tony and Drama Desk and Pulitzer Prize nominee, will be the Honoree of the 33rd Annual William Inge Theatre Festival in Independence, Kansas, at Independence Community College.

The critics and audiences alike are raving about Julien Schwab's mind-bending comedy rogerandtom at HERE's Main Stage (145 Sixth Avenue - enter on Dominick). The comedy, which returned to HERE and moved to the Main Stage for an extended summer engagement through August 24th is presented by Personal Space Theatrics. rogerandtom is directed by Nicholas Cotz, the company's artistic director. London's "Summer of Love" comes to Center City in the Philly Fringe with the Philadelphia premiere of 'Traveling Light' by Philadelphia playwright Lindsay Harris Friel. The play is directed by Liam Castellan and produced by Liam's Sofa Cushion Fortress in The Skybox at The Adrienne Theater, September 6-14, 2013. Tickets are $20 ($10 preview tickets available for the 9/6 performance) and can be purchased at the door or through the FringeArts Box Office atwww.fringearts.com.

It is practically impossible not to be pulled into the passionately earthy, very Italian world of fictional film director Guido Contini (David Michael Trevino) in Maury Yeston's 1982 darkly breathtaking musical Nine. Guido's mental turmoil, a series of vivid images that come fiercely plummeting into the recesses of the mind, are staged here in every crook and cranny of the entire space. He's desperately trying to create a screenplay piece by piece and at the same time is playing out, in tormented fashion, various events of his personal life from age 9 to 40. An exceedingly theatrical exhibition, to say the least! Apart from the staging, Yeston's exotic score makes the images come provocatively to life. Known for some pretty terrific singing, DOMA accepts the challenges of Nine and with director Marco Gomez pulling out the stops and letting his skilled cast reach for the stars, this production works on many levels, will entertain you, and even make you muse from time to time.

Enter the glamorous world of 'Cinema Italiano' when DOMA Theatre Company presents Nine, the multiple Tony Award-winning musical with book by Arthur Kopit and music and lyrics by Maury Yeston that is based on Federico Fellini's semi-autobiographical film 8 ½. For NINE, DOMA reunites the creative team behind its recent hit production of Dreamgirls: Marco Gomez directs, musical direction is by Chris Raymond and choreography is by Rae Toledo. The six-week run opens July 12at the intimate MET Theatre in Hollywood.

Directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis), the production will kick off the 2013/2014 season, running May 28 - June 30 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

New York's Rattlestick Playwrights Theater presents its Los Angeles premiere of the critically-acclaimed play Slipping, written and directed by Daniel Talbott, which began previews Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Elephant Stages' Lillian Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. and will run through May 5, 2013.
