Canadian Stage brings England's London Road to Toronto with North American premiere of 5-star musical documentary Written by Alecky Blythe and Tony Award-winning composer Adam Cork; directed by Jackie Maxwell at the Bluma Appel Theatre January 19 to February 9, 2014 Toronto, ON - Canadian Stage presents the North American premiere of London Road, the captivating 5-star hit from the UK created by playwright Alecky Blythe and set to music Tony Award-winning composer Adam Cork. Part musical, part documentary, the new Canadian production is directed by the Shaw Festival's artistic director Jackie Maxwell with music direction by Reza Jacobs. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast (Sean Arbuckle, Damien Atkins, Ben Carlson, Michelle Fisk, Deborah Hay, George Masswohl, Julain Molnar, Glynis Ranney, Fiona Reid, Steve Ross and Shawn Wright) London Road transforms the stage at the Bluma Appel Theatre (27 Front St. E) from January 19 to February 9, 2014.

Shuffles, A Broadway Tap and Musical Theater School will be presenting its 6th year of PETER PANtomime on December 1st at 2:00 and 5:30 at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

Start the Car Multimedia Storytelling Series presents Getting Lost on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Galapagos Art Space, 16 Main Street, Brooklyn, NY. Tickets are $8 in advance ($12 at the door) and can be purchased at ticketweb.com. Doors open at 7pm, and stories will begin at 8pm. This event is 21 and over; seasonal drink specials will be available for purchase.

Featured artist, Pat Stacy quotes 'The tip of your brush is the tip of your soul,' by Andrew Hamilton. 'And so it is for me' says Stacy. 'You will find an entity touched by the light of the creator in much of my recent work, acknowledging creativity as gift. This light is also expressed by descending golden squares. There are other symbols in my paintings as well, ready for the viewer to make them their own.'

Visual and performing artists are needed for residencies for the Head StART in ART program for the 2013-2014 school year. Residencies will take place at the Ellicott City Head Start Center or the Tubman Head Start Center in Columbia. Artists seeking a residency must have experience working with children; experience with pre-K is preferred. The performing artist residency will conclude with performances by the Head Start children. The visual artist residency will conclude with the completion of an art project for display at their Head Start Center or individual projects for students to take home. The Media Theatre's summer singing contests 'The Vocalist' and its Junior counterpart start up the week after July Fourth. Two warm and welcoming emcees will preside over the competition. FOX-TV's morning anchor Sue Serio returns for her fourth summer and local actress Micki Sharpe begins a new tradition as the emcee for its Junior portion. The contest was previously titled 'Delco Idol'. It will, for the third year, be sponsored by Iron Workers Bank of Media and Aston.

This September theater artists from around the globe will converge on the seaside village of Provincetown, where Williams worked over several summers, to celebrate America's great playwright with a program of plays, dance, film and performance art organized around the theme of Tennessee Williams and Women: 50% Illusion.

David Ira Goldstein directs one of Neil Simon's most beloved and acclaimed plays in ATC's new production that will premiere in Tucson for three weeks of performances and continue to Phoenix for an additional three weeks. ATC's 'The Sunshine Boys' opens at the Temple of Music and Art, running from tonight, March 2, 2013 through March 23, 2013. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 28, 2013 through April 14, 2013.

New York City's acclaimed Children's Acting Academy (CAA), which made world headlines in September 2010 when four of its student actors were invited to participate as the United States representatives in the first ever international children's theatre exchange in London, England, is proud to announce more major successes by members of its student body.

The Wells Fargo ArtsVibe Teen Program - a new initiative to engage metropolitan Atlanta teenagers as active participants in the arts - has announced the inaugural ArtsVibe Teen Council. Forty-nine teens throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area were selected to participate, and the students will work closely with arts administrators from the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art, and Young Audiences to help program and promote ArtsVibe events to their fellow peers in the Atlanta community.
