The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) is proud to announce that the 28th Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The Awards ceremony will include the presentation of 21 awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film as well as the Prince Rainier III Award to be presented to Denzel and Pauletta Washington and the Princess Grace Statue Award to be presented to Anna D. Shapiro. The Award recipients hail from cities and states across America and will travel to New York City to receive their honor at the glamorous black tie ceremony. The 28th Annual Princess Grace Awards Gala will take place in the presence of Her Royal Highness Caroline Princess of Hanover. The evening will be co-chaired by Bonnie Pfeifer Evans. Moyra Davey's first solo exhibit in Europe will be at the Kunsthalle Basel June 17 through August 29 with an opening Wednesday, June 16 from 7pm-10pm. Lead producer Michael Cohl today announced the complete cast for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, which begins rehearsals this morning. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will begin previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) on November 14, with opening night set for December 21.

Director Anna D. Shapiro of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company has been awarded the 2010 Princess Grace Statue Award, The Princess Grace Foundation has announced. Shapiro previously received a Princess Grace Theater Apprenticeship in 1996.
