Steppenwolf Co-Hosts A Party Featuring Joan Of Arc 3/31

Steppenwolf is co-hosting a party with Country Club Chicago featuring Joan of Arc Country Club Chicago is a local collective of young artists who run a creative, energetic gallery space that fuels the city's contemporary art scene.

AN EVENING WITH DAVID SEDARIS Comes to Providence Arts Center Apr. 6

Following his release of the New York Times #1 bestselling book When You Are Engulfed in Flames, author David Sedaris will visit Providence for an evening of engaging recollections and readings. Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor, will be appearing for one-night only at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Mr. Sedaris will also be holding a book-signing at 6:30P at PPAC before his show. All of his titles, including When You Are Engulfed in Flames, are available at Barrington Books, the official book sponsor for WRNI PRESENTS: AN EVENING WITH DAVID SEDARIS. Long & Crowley Among 4 Recipients Of Irene Sharaff Awards

Legendary designers WILLIAM IVEY LONG and BOB CROWLEY are among the four recipients of the 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards. Five-time Tony Award winning costume designer William Ivey Long will receive the 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for theatrical costume design, and, for his achievements as both a costume and scenic designer, Bob Crowley (also a five-time Tony Award winner) will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards' special Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatrical Design at a ceremony on Friday, March 27, at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

Goodman Theatre rings in the New Year with an eight-play landmark theatrical event, A Global Exploration: Eugene O'Neill in the 21st Century curated by Artistic Director Robert Falls, January 7 through March 8, 2009. Over 100 artists from six theater companies around the world bring their highly contemporary, inventive interpretations of O'Neill's dramas for the Goodman's Exploration-viewing the 20th century 'father of the American drama,' through a 21st century international lens.
