Tomorrow night, September 29, marks the first show of The Late Comet, a series of late-night shows at Feinstein's/54 Below featuring cast members of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. The Late Comet is produced by Philip Romano.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the New York premiere of Anna Ziegler's new play The Last Match, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. The cast includes Wilson Bethel as 'Tim,' Alex Mickiewicz as 'Sergei,' Natalia Payne as 'Galina' and Zoe Winters as 'Mallory.'

New Light Theater Project will present The New York premiere of BREEDERS by Dan Giles, directed by Jaki Bradley. BREEDERS began performances Thursday, September 21 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 14. Press opening is tonight, September 27 at 8 PM.

Following a successful summer run of Aaron Posner's play Life Sucks, Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues this fall with a production of BRIGHT HALF LIFE by playwright Tanya Barfield. Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director, Ilana Becker, will direct the play, which runs Sept. 27-Oct. 14, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

Playwrights Horizons presents THE TREASURER, the world premiere of a new play by Max Posner (Judy) and directed by three-time Lortel Award winner David Cromer (The Band's Visit, Our Town, Adding Machine). Commissioned by Playwrights Horizons, the play will be the second production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker (www.hiphopnutcracker.com or #hiphopnutcracker), a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky's timeless music, hits the road this holiday season to 28 U.S. cities. The show premieres in Riverside, CA on November 9 and will play cities from coast to coast. Produced by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with Executive Producer, Eva Price, and co-commissioned by the United Palace of Cultural Arts, The Hip Hop Nutcracker will feature Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, opening the show in most cities with a short set before rapping the introduction.

Goode Productions will present the World Premiere of AMP, a solo horror piece written and performed by Jody Christopherson, directed by Isaac Byrne (The Other Mozart; In Vestments) at HERE (145 Avenue of the Americas, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring Street), December 5-19.

A friendly reminder! KareHouse, a new musical written by Michael Kimmel (Songbird, The Last Goodbye) with music and lyrics by Libby Winters (American Idiot), directed by Jenny Koons (Burn All Night), and produced by John Gallagher Jr., Allison Bressi, and Lianne Kennedy, will be presented in a New York Premiere at Joe's Pub, for two performances only, running tonight (Sept 25 at 7pm) and tomorrow (Sept 26 at 9.30pm).

The Lark, a theater company devoted to the support of visionary playwrights and the development of new plays, has announced five New York City-based playwrights have been named as the 2017-18 Rita Goldberg Playwrights' Workshop Fellows. The group spans a wide range of backgrounds and professional experiences and will meet regularly throughout the year to develop new plays.

Black Girl Magic Show! is an absurdist dance theatre lecture by playwright/performer nicHi douglas on Black female identity. Utilizing African Diasporan histories, Black feminist theory, and a lot of stuff douglas made up, she attempts to unpack, re-pack, and de-pack the Black female experience in America as witnessed by one Black woman - The Professor. As the audience follows The Professor, they discover what might happen if the one Black girl without 'Black Girl Magic' takes matters into her own hands. Before the show ends, the audience experiences a TED-type talk, modern dance, a magic routine, and a concert, often simultaneously. And they probably see at least 20 wigs.
